There aren't any new games coming out for the rest of the year, and the first game you'll probably even be interested in during 2018 won't arrive until early February. So what do you play for now?
One of these 10 eBaum's World Gaming approved games would be a good place to start.
1. Dead By Daylight
Price: $19.99
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One
This is a really interesting online game where four players try to survive as one rogue player tries to hunt them down in a dark forest. Even if you think you're a tough guy, you'll soon find yourself squealing on the mic as your friends make fun of you. All right before a serial killer with bunny ears chops you in half with a tomahawk axe.
Friday the 13th: The Game is a similar game, but in our experience it's not quite as good or balanced. You can't go wrong either way, and whatever the case, expect to play the game for quite a while as your go-to when friends are online.
2. Fortnite Battle Royale
Price: $19.99/Free
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One
WAIT! Before you keep scrolling, you really need to give this one a look. You might have never heard of Fortnite, but it's quickly become one of the most popular games of the year. Heck, it's #3 on Twitch as I type this, and that's not from luck.

Available for free, you can hop in and play in this Hunger Games style mode where it's all about picking up equipment, building shelters, and making sure that when an enemy comes around only you're left standing. After all, you only have one life.
3. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
Price: $19.99
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One
Yeah, this is a couple years old now, but it was my 2015 game of the year. It's the rare case of a game with a bad story managing to still be phenomenal.
This is a single-player game, but one you can easily play for over 35 hours. Expect to sneak around putting people in chokeholds and then tossing them face first into the ground. That's exactly what Big Boss likes to do.
4. Minecraft
Price: $19.99~
Platforms: All of them
At this point you've definitely played this game, and probably don't think you want to play it again. However, the game has gotten better over the years, and the eBaum's World Gaming community is looking to play together during Game Nights.

5. PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds
Price: $24.99~
Platforms: PC, Xbox One
As the most popular game of the year, PUBG is a monster. Just yesterday it had over 2.8 million people playing it at the same time, a record Steam has never seen before.
This is a game you and your friends can easily get hundreds of hours out of. You probably won't ever win a match, but you'll be damned if you don't try.
6. Rocket League
Price: $9.99~
Platforms: PC, PS4, Switch Xbox One
Whoever would have guessed that soccer mixed with cars would be so great? This game is an incredible amount of fun, and a more intimate online experience where you can hop on with just a friend or two and compete in an environment that might as well be a championship sports event.

Rocket League is now on Switch, so you can definitely play it no matter what console (or PC) you prefer.
7. StarCraft 2
Price: $19.99/Free
Platforms: PC
StarCraft 2 is only on this list because it's finally free-to-play. Most of the game is available at no cost, so you can just jump right in and start reminding yourself why RTS games make you feel stupid.
This game now has some new modes that make it a lot more friendly, though. So maybe you'll stick around and find yourself addicted to this series that won us over 20 years ago.
8. Stardew Valley
Price: $14.99
Platforms: PC, PS4, Switch
Look, I know this game looks stupid, and you probably won't listen to me. But if you did download it, you'd play it for over 50 hours and swear that it's one of the greatest games ever made. Why? Because it is.

In the game you develop a farm, hit on chicks (or guys if you're into that), unlock secrets, make money, chop enemies to pieces, and even go fishing. It's a surprisingly special game that you'll find yourself unable to stop playing if you buy it. So do it.
9. The Witness
Price: $29.99
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One
This puzzle game is no freaking joke. With hundreds of puzzles, some of which are darn near impossible, it's a challenge that very few people have braved. Think Myst, but more colorful and less obtuse.
The Witness might sap your brain of energy, and make you feel helpless at times, but during all that you'll be solving puzzles that increase your intellect. Trust me, I did it.
10. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege
Price: $29.99~
Platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One
This game came out a long time ago, but it's gotten so much better thanks to routine updates. This is a solid choice for those of you who enjoy tactical shooters, namely Counter-Strike. It's actually casual friendly for those of you who are noobs, too.
If you're the kind of person who enjoys speaking in phonetic over your microphone, using words like "Alpha" and "Charlie", this will be right up your alley. Enjoy.
